The new book I designed for Contemporary Quilt has gone down very well (and more importantly sold well) at the Festival of Quilts this summer.
Since the book was published, its been lovely to have such a positive reception:
[The book] arrived today and looks very professional.
... fantastic looking cover, and it's really whetted my appetite now for a copy, or two or three!
What a good advertisement [for Contemporary Quilt]! Could you pass on my congratulations to Jane for such an excellent design.

Book launch Festival of Quilts: CQ@10
This is the new book from Contemporary Quilt that launches at the Festival of Quilts at the Birmingham NEC on Thursday 16 August. Its a review of the last 10 years of exhibited work. I designed the book, page layouts and the cover, and worked with Hilary, Janet and Margaret who worked on the content: photographing, editing and the task of managing over 500 images and captions.
I'm also very happy to mention that my textile work appears a couple of times in the book too.
Looking forward to hearing feedback from the ladies on the Contemporary Quilt stand who will be selling the book over the next 4 days.

Diamond Day flyer design
A big event is planned for Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale to celebrate the Jubilee, and I'm pleased to say I was asked to design the flyer. It has just been distributed to schools so they can get busy over the Easter hols with their 'Design a MINI roof' competition. How cool is that? The winner will see their design on a real car at the event.

Working on designs for New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham
Such beautiful images of art and craft .... I particularly love these stools by Nick Barberton seen on the right hand side of this spread. The new brochure design for the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham will be out soon.

Breakthrough sold out!
I'm very pleased to say that the Breakthrough book - the catalogue of this year's exhibition by Contemporary Quilt that I designed, has sold out of its first edition. It featured full page images of each of the 42 quilts in the exhibition, including my own quilt.

University of Reading contracted supplier
The graphic design part of my company Leigh & Glennie Ltd has been appointed as a contracted supplier for the University of Reading. This is the third time that I have been awarded this status since the supplier list was introduced in 2006. I am looking forward to continuing to work closely with clients across the campus and with the Branding Team in the Design & Print Studio.

Reading University Whiteknights Guide
I am posting selected publications from my portfolio in a way in which they can be explored more fully. This first document is the latest 2010 edition of the Whiteknights Guide for the University of Reading which I designed recently. I now have to work out the best place for them to go - in a blog page (which is easy), or on my website (where I have to wrestle with HTML!).
